Anti Corona mask - Virgone - Quinten
These limited edition designer masks have a double pocket to insert an additional filter. Handmade print in Holland, handmade production in Brussels. Printed fabric in 100% cotton, lining in 100% acrylic. Washable at 60° but as for all masks you can better buy several and not wear them for a couple of days after wearing them so that the Corona virus dies off or put them in a 60° oven for 30 mins, or better even: both. Do not put it in the microwave. If you have a steam iron you can also steam them (which is 100° water) without even touching the fabric (no need to iron).
Giuseppe Virgone is a Brussels menswear brand, with a first collection in 2010. Alumnus of the National Schol of the Visual Arts, Brussels-La Cambre and ex-modelist at Gaspard Yurkievich.
Giuseppe Virgone has always been inspired by mythology, he loves the sacred side of the ritual and tries to bring it into his collections. Indeed the silhouettes are decomposed as a ritual clothing, the purpose being to make feel a tribe or mystical aspect. He also likes the transformation of the body in his space, he always tries to emphasize it by a mixture of materials and by an almost architectural side of the garment. The space and body movements are always present when he creates and draws a new collection. Giuseppe Virgone has in mind the spatial occupation of silhouettes in the form of performance. He also seeks to destructure the silhouette to make room for a fallen, the goal is to drown the body to create a new silhouette and another movement of the body.He has many sources of inspiration such as music, photography and theater. He particularly appreciates the director Romeo Castellucci who likes to work on the decadence of beauty and the mystery of the end. He could also quote the singer Soap & Skin, for its heavy and haunting music, or the artist Anthony Goicoela, for his work on the masculine identity in search of his place in society.
WASH? OVEN? STEAM? MICROWAVE? REST? FREEZER?
Washable at 60° but as for all masks you can better buy several masks and not wear them for a couple of days after wearing them so that the Corona virus dies off or put them in a 60° oven for 30 mins, or better even: both. Only do this with cotton fabric, not synthetics, which are sometimes part of the lining. Do not put masks in the microwave. Avoid chemicals on the fabric. If you have a steam iron you can also steam them (which is 100° water) without even touching the fabric (no need to iron). Putting them in the freezer doesn't help a thing.
